It had been some time since I’ve visited a place for dessert – and that’s particularly because I’m not too much of a fan of excessive sweets. However, I could not say no to Cafe Crepe when I decided to go with my friend after dinner one day. Crepes always remind me of times in Paris – so I was eager to see if I could share that same feeling in my own city.
Cafe Crepe’s atmosphere had the set up for making crepes right at the front, and in the back was the sitting area if you and your company decide to stay at the restaurant. My friend and I were in no rush so we decided to eat at their establishment – the service greeted us and took us to a table all the way at the back of the cafe. I personally think the restaurant set up made it difficult for waitresses to see if we were ready to order, because the large booths made it hard for the waitress to actually see the two of us ready to order. As a result it did take some time to get our order placed.
Once we did place our order though we were not disappointed once it came to our table! My friend decided to order herself the Crepe with Strawberry, Nutella and Banana while I ordered for myself Crepe with Strawberry and Nutella (so just minus the banana for me!) They put a large crepe of our choice on clean, white glass plates which was a safe choice for presentation, and the crepe itself was made quite beautifully.
The crepe itself was delicious, and it was filled with perfect portions of each ingredient/topping I wanted. On a more personal biased opinion, it was a bit large for me in quantity – but that may be because I don’t eat many sweets to begin with. My friend on the other hand, loves to eat a lot of sweets and desserts, so luckily she helped me finish mine off. I would definitely suggest visiting Cafe Crepe if you’re looking for reasonably priced sweets and want to satisfy your crepe cravings!
