As you may know from my previous post on Cheese Garden, it is a specialty dessert cafe serving up the most quality Japanese cheesecakes you can find. Recently the Cheese Garden has incorporated a new Sakura Collection special, which is available from April 27th until May 12th, 2019!
Featuring Japanese Sakura from Kanagawa, this beautiful Sakura dessert set comes with 1 Sakura Fraise Cheesecake, 2 pieces of Sakura Yakigashi and 1 Sakura Raindrop Cake!
You can also get their exclusive Sakura spoon and Sakura bag as free gifts! I thought that the presentation of the gift set was extremely cute and super picturesque, as you can see in this post!
The Sakura Fraise Cheesecake was definitely the treatment for this gift set. It had a gelatin layer on the top which presented a very polished look and was sprinkled with beautiful, cute decorations of sakura flowers. Each layer included their famous cheesecake, strawberry layer, and matcha layer – with a surprise strawberry filling in the middle! It was extremely tasty and I rather enjoyed this because it wasn’t extremely sweet (which is the way I like it)
This beautiful looking cookie is one of the Sakura Yakigashi which I was pleasantly surprised with when I took my first bites. It has a nice, chewy texture which I was always hoping to have with any cookie I consume. The cookie itself is almost like a wafer in that it has layers to incorporate different tastes in your cookie eating experience! From the top layer of strawberry to the almost cheesecake-like layer, you cannot go wrong with this.
In addition to the layers, there was an edible sakura flower which I believe was salted, and balanced nicely with all the sweet that was happening on the cookie. Such an adventurous thing to be able to eat flowers!
Lastly, we were also presented with a Sakura Raindrop Cake – which had very delicate and perfectly sweet gelatin with edible sakura submerged in it. I personally preferred the Sakura Cheesecake and Cookie over this one – however, it was an interesting eat because the raindrop was very artistic with the flowers inside looking fresh.
