Cinnaholic was a visit I had the pleasure of taking to give Foodie Utopians a taste into some more dessert places! I know my blog site has primarily featured some of the greatest and popular hits in the restaurant section, but I wanted to make a point to feature some great spots to get fabulous desserts and treats. Cinnaholic is definitely a place on Danforth that you don’t want to miss out on!

Cinnaholic is an original, gourmet cinnamon roll bakery. With over 20 unique frosting flavors and a variety of fresh and decadent toppings, Cinnaholic is truly a unique cinnamon spot! Now Toronto can experience their award winning, handcrafted cinnamon rolls, brownies, edible cookie dough and baked cookies at their Danforth location. Cinnaholic has also been on ABC’s hit television show, SHARK TANK which adds to their high reputation and credibility to serve products made with the highest quality ingredients. Many of their products are also 100% vegan, dairy & lactose-free, egg-free and cholesterol-free.

I loved the concept in Cinnaholic and the ordering is very comprehensive – you have the option to try their signature choices as displayed in store, or create your own gourmet cinnamon bun based on your heart’s content! Cinnaholic also has complimentary creamers and water if you’d like to have something to drink besides their options for coffee.

My partner and I had our fill of our very first Cinnaholic Cinnamon Bun – each of our orders highlighting some of the ways you could potentially style your cinnamon bun during your visit to Cinnaholic!

One of the orders we made was a Gourmet Cinnamon Bun with Banana Cream, Strawberries, Strawberry Jam and Pecan Nuts. This is a good option for Foodie Utopians who want a more fruity type flavour for their cinnamon bun. Of course there are other options for fruity selections, such as having bananas as oppose to strawberries, but the most popular choice has been with strawberries. This was a nice blend of toppings, and you can really sense the effort and time that the service at Cinnaholic put into their buns! It was served nice, warm and fresh.

My order on the other hand was a Gourmet Cinnamon Bun with Chocolate, Caramel and Coffee Icing, as well as Cookie Dough and Chocolate Chip Toppings. This is how I envisioned having cinnamon buns for myself – the blend of chocolate and coffee with a cinnamon bun just makes sense to me (and it did work out!). I’d say the only downfall was that there are a lot of things going on on the cinnamon buns, and for me (as a person who doesn’t really have the taste buds for overly sweet) couldn’t really handle the amount of sweet the Cinnaholic had to offer. Next time though, I can customize to have less toppings, which is truly the beauty of Cinnaholic and the services they offer!
