Mad Radish was a visit I made, and was a really quick one thanks to their modernized mobile app!
Mad Radish has an app where you can order your food ahead of time and have it ready for you to pick up at their various locations. They even have an option for delivery! Because I wanted to check out the locations myself, I decided to place my order at the Albert/Metcliffe location and pick up my order on site.
The restaurant itself was very modern, and showcased blue neon lights shaped into a radish and birch wood furniture. Although I didn’t dine in that day, the place itself looked very cozy and comfortable for anyone looking to settle into a nice space for lunch.
When I came to the location, they had just gotten my order however, and I still needed to wait for my food despite ordering it about 3 days in advance. However, the staff was extremely professional about it and offered both my partner and I complimentary dessert to correct for the error. I felt that they made their best effort to ensure that the customer was satisfied.
That day I munched on two different salad bowls, the Santa Fe and Sesame Salmon. These salads were spectacular and showcased different types of proteins and flavors for the customer to enjoy – I’ll describe them both for you on this Foodie Utopia post!
The Santa Fe was a chicken based salad which introduces you to some of the cheesiest and spectacular salads. This dish will take you on a food travel excursion to the Southwest with its packed herby chicken, roast corn, black beans, creamy feta and crunchy corn chips. The dish incorporates a tangy avocado-tomatillo dressing which truly adds to its flavour and dining experience.
The Sesame Salmon was my choice for the night and it was my personal favourite because of its influences with Japanese cuisine. A sesame crusted salmon, creamy avocado, crisp vegetables and carrot-ginger dressing truly showcased an inspiration from Japan, and promises a fresh, filling and packed flavour. I’m excited to have more of Mad Radish when I’m back in Toronto as well!
