Pho Cuu Long Mien Tay is a frequent visit for my family and I, simply for quality Vietnamese cuisine. Previously, this fine establishment was found on St. Clair West street, however they recently re-located to a new location by Yonge and Finch. I’m not sure why they relocated, perhaps the downtown location was too pricey for the owner, and so he settled on a “cheaper” location. Regardless, the change in location was no problem for my family and I, as we enjoy their cuisine very much! Here on this new post, feast your eyes on some of my favourite dishes to order at this restaurant;

Beef Brisket – this is prepared at the table with a burner and vinegar bowl where you dip the meat into the bowl and boil the meat.
The meat is also typically served with vegetables and noodles to add to your rice paper roll. I prefer eating the meat and vegetables alone, dipping with the special fish sauce of course!
The vinegar bowl, being boiled so we can starting dipping our beef briskets!
This dish is La Lop, or beef that is grilled and infused in lotus leaf, and topped with peanuts and green onions. This dish is definitely a favourite of mine, and can be either eaten with the fish sauce alone (my preference) or rolled in the rice paper just like the beef brisket.
This dish here is Papaya Salad with Mints and Dried Beef, or “Bo Kho”. Pour the special fish sauce (shown in the photo) on top or dip the salad into the sauce, either way the dish is fresh, and provides great tastes. This is a famous appetizer of the Vietnamese and gives a good start to any meal!
