Kensington Market is known for its many eats and takeouts. Upon a spontaneous visit to Kensington Market, my boyfriend and I decided to go to a spot found by sight called Sushi Market. I was enticed by their vibrant signs and authentic look amidst the marketplace.

We had some prior engagements to attend to, but we decided to just sit in quickly and have some great sushi. Our orders all came with some hot miso soup which was extremely yummy and gave me some great satisfaction on a rather cold day. Soon enough, our meals came out of the kitchen and onto our tables – for my partner he ordered the Spicy Chicken Teriyaki which came with a side of rice and classic Japanese salad. The quantity was there and my boyfriend really likes a lot of food on his plate – so he was satisfied by the end of the meal for that afternoon.

On the other hand, I had an order of Dragon Rolls which had eel, avocado, nori, and california fillings in it. This was actually so beautifully presented and I was surprised at how fantastic it looked. Not only that, but it even tasted delicious too! The price was also not too bad compared to other sushi restaurants I’ve encountered in the city, so this was a very pleasant find.

Overall, this little restaurant at 281 Augusta Ave was a surprisingly good find, and I definitely recommend it if you’re around the area. The service was really nice and served us very quickly.
